Sessions are developed around your style and what you are looking for. The first step in planning for the session is understanding what style interests you. We can talk through and even look at different photos to understand what areas and styles you would like to incorporate into your session. Conversations can be had in person, via telephone, Zoom/Teams, texts, or email. Once I have an understanding of your style, we can discuss clothing, shoes, accessories, hair, makeup, and any other relevant information.
I work to create a comfortable and enjoyable experience. It isn't just about getting photos but having an enjoyable and confidence confirming or building experience. On the day of the shoot, you should come in loose clothing. The session usually takes place in studio, but can take place outside, hotel/airbnb, your residence, or other creative location. Sessions that occur in the studio will be accompanied by light snacks and drinks. I always ask what your favorite music is so that I can have it playing in the studio, but surprisingly most people say whatever for music choice. So I'll either have you favorite style of music playing or some upbeat music
to lighten the mood. Don't worry if you have never posed before, I help you with poses from head to toe and we use slight movements to capture a number of different poses.
You leave looking and feeling fabulous to enjoy the rest of the day or evening and I get to work. Your photos will go through necessary steps to make them presentable for you to choose your best looks (cropped and straightened as necessary). About 2 weeks after the shoot your photos will be posted on a secure password protected website for you to view your session. We can meet in person or video chat to discuss if you like, or you can look through them yourself. When you pick your favorites, those are the ones that will get fully edited. You can also select any print products that you want at this time, or you can wait until the full edited photos are completed. Editing time for the photos depends on the number of photos you choose. You can view the photos before your items are printed. Print products are shipped to you directly from the print lab.
